Congratulations to our two latest graduates, Tissa Rahim and Adam Yu! Both defended their MSc thesis in Pathology & Laboratory Medicine in recent weeks. We thank them for all of their hard work, and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

Pathology Day 2016 was held at VGH on May 28. Fraser and Adam (pictured above, with Dr. Katerina Dorovini-Zis) both presented posters highlighting their work. Dr. Quandt was an invited speaker and spoke about her work using “Radical new approaches to identify neuroprotective mechanisms in multiple sclerosis”.

On Sunday May 15th, our lab along with friends and family joined the UBC Remyelinators at the MS Walk. Overall, the team raised nearly $7500 to support research towards a cure and programs to assist people living with MS. Overall, the Vancouver MS Walk raised over $220,000 as of late yesterday.
